The Spinosaurus is a genus of Theropod Dinosaur. The prominent known species are S. Aegyptiacus from Egypt and S. Maroccanus from Morocco. Living in what is now, North Africa, during the Cretaceous period approximately 97.4 million years past. The Spinosaurus is among the largest of all known carnivorous dinosaurs. Estimates suggest it could have reached lengths of 50 feet and weighing up to 7 tons. 

A Spinosaurus's jaws, which were long and narrow like crocodile's. Its distinctive notch near the front of its jaws would have been effective in trapping fish. Anatomy suggests, the tail was used to herd and stun shoals of fish before devouring them. Scientists believe the Spinosaurus was a "semiaquatic" predator that hunted large fish like lungfish, sawfish, and coelacanths by wading into riverbanks and ambushing the creatures. Also research has shown and believed this Dinosaur hunted on land as well. Spinosaurus also had long, scythe-shaped hand claws to catch and tear apart its prey.
